Tim is ARTC’s Executive General Manager – Enterprise Services, with responsibility for:
- Regulatory and network services
- Systems and technology
Tim’s career began with the Western Australian Farmers Federation, where he spent 13 years. He transitioned to the rail industry in 1992, joining Westrail, where his roles saw him managing train operations, safeworking, infrastructure maintenance and train control. He was also involved in developing the legislation for economic regulation of open access on the Westrail network.
After the privatisation of Westrail in 2000, he became General Manager of Westnet Rail, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Australian Railroad Group.
He joined ARTC in 2005 as General Manager Asset Management. From there, he went on to become General Manager North/South Corridor, General Manager Hunter Valley and Executive General Manager Interstate Network.
Tim is also a Board member of the Australasian Centre for Rail Innovation and the Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB).
