“ARTC will spend over $1.2 million on the rail bridge at Paterson between January and April this year to improve its condition and facilitate future maintenance and inspections.”
“ARTC’s investment will increase the reliability and longevity of this important bridge on the North Coast Line.” Mr Marchant said.
The works will include $400,000 on access walkways for both maintenance staff and train drivers to improve safety and access for future maintenance and operations; $628,000 on retransoming of the bridge, $140,00 on steel repairs and $112,000 on rerailing across the bridge.
