On Friday 8th April, Australian Rail Track Corporation Hunter Valley, will hold its inaugural Charity Ball at Newcastle Panthers, in support of kids fighting serious illness.
The ‘ARTC Charity Ball’ will be an exciting annual event designed to raise much needed funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
In 2010 the social club formed by ARTC’s team from the Hunter Valley decided they would put the money they had raised from staff vending machines into hosting a fun charity event for ARTC staff and their families; business partners; and those associated with ARTC and their friends and families.
ARTC General Manager Hunter Valley, Tim Ryan said the ‘ARTC Charity Ball’ was an important way for the company to support kids in need.
“Many of our staff have young children, so supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation in its work with sick kids made perfect sense.”
“Starlight Children’s Foundation does not receive any government funding and relies on the support and donations, like the profits from our Charity Ball, to help brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalized children across Australia,” Mr Ryan said.
ARTC Alliance Partners have also announced sponsorship for the ARTC Charity Ball. They are:
- Leighton Contractors
- Ansaldo-STS
- MVM/MacMahon
Ticket sales will be sold on a ‘first-in, first-served’ basis at a cost of $125 per ticket, with tickets sales limited to a maximum of 450.
To register interest in purchasing tickets and/or in donating auction items to the ARTC Charity Ball, please contact hvmpsocial@artc.com.au, and information will then be sent to you.
In the past ARTC has supported the other children’s charity events including the Blind Sporting Council; the Children’s Leukaemia Foundation; and the Kidney Kar Rally.
