Victorian earthquake – ARTC rail corridors

Due to a magnitude 6.0 earthquake today near Mansfield in Victoria affecting north-east and western Victoria and southern NSW, ARTC has stopped rail services between Parkes – Cootamundra – Melbourne – Wolseley as a precaution until further notice. This includes the rail corridor to the SA border and the corridor between Cootamundra – Goulburn in NSW.

Some trains are being held in the rail corridor while our teams inspect the network to ensure it is safe for operation. This includes the many structures that sit within our rail corridors.
