Coromandel station gets fresh look thanks to community effort

Coromandel Valley Station in South Australia has received a much-needed refresh, thanks to the dedicated work of the Blackwood Action Group and their successful working bee on a beautiful Saturday morning.

The group was granted access to the station with ARTC’s Craig Surman overseeing the efforts. He conducted all pre-work safety meetings and ensured the group’s safety throughout the project. Local MP Catherine Hutchesson, along with 20 other volunteers worked together to complete the work in just two hours!

The volunteers quickly installed ARTC-donated sleepers in the garden beds and tackled various tasks, including gardening, re-laying pavers, and painting over graffiti on signaling boxes and the fence.

ARTC is a supporter of the Blackwood Action Group and looks forward to collaborating on four working bees each year.
