Essential Track Maintenance, Broken Hill Rail Yard, March 2025

We will be carrying out track maintenance in the Broken Hill Rail Yard, to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.
This work is scheduled to occur from 2:00AM Friday 28 March 2025 until Monday 7:00AM 31 March 2025, weather permitting. We will be working between these times, including nights and the weekend.
How this affects you?
We are committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our works wherever possible, including:
- Watering down work areas
- Positioning light towers to shine away from residences
- Limiting the number of machines operating at any one time.
