Bridge Maintenance – Coffs Creek, Coffs Harbour, NSW – January to May 2026

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is carrying out essential maintenance on Coffs Creek Rail Bridge to enhance the safety and reliability of the network. The project involves replacing structural components, followed by cleaning and painting.
Early work will start on Monday 19 January and construction is expected to be completed by May 2026.
Most work will take place during standard construction hours (7am to 6pm weekdays, 8am to 1pm Saturdays). Occasionally a full weekend of day work will be required, and we’ll inform the community when this is planned.
Access
- Shared pathways under the bridge will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists for the full duration of the bridge work.
- Clearance between the bridge span and creek will be temporarily reduced to the road bridge height, with waterway access maintained.
How we’re minimising impacts
- We’re committed to reducing the impacts of the work wherever possible, including:
- Establishing exclusion zones to keep the public safe from machinery and equipment
- Watering down work areas and installing screening to reduce dust
- Notifying our neighbours in advance of work outside standard construction hours.
