Track machine maintenance, Muswellbrook and Maitland, 29 and 30 March 2025

We continually operate track machines across the network to improve track conditions and allow safer, more reliable, and quieter rail operations.
This means track machines need to be stabled in sidings for routine maintenance.
We’ll be working on these machines at Muswellbrook and Maitland between 6:30am and 6:00pm on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March.
You may notice increased noise during maintenance as our machines need to keep idling so we can check that all the electrical components are operating correctly.
To reduce noise impacts, we will stable at a location away from residents where possible.
