Track Maintenance – Llanfair Terrace and Egmont Terrace – Hawthorn, SA – 18 to 20 April 2026

We will be carrying out track maintenance at several level crossings in Hawthorn, to maintain a safe and reliable network.

This work is scheduled from 6:00am Saturday 18 April to 4:00am Monday 20 April, weather permitting. We will be working continuously between these times.

For safety reasons, the following crossings will be closed to all pedestrians for the full duration of the work, including nights:
• South of Cross Road
• Wurilba Ave and Llainfair Terrace
• North of Sussex Terrace
• South of Sussex Terrace
• Egmont Terrace and Devonshire Street
• Egmont Terrace and Llewelyn Terrace
• North of Angas Road

Detours will be in place north of Cross Road and south of Angas Road throughout the closure and signage will redirect users.

You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
