Track Maintenance, Peterborough, SA, June 2025

We will be carrying out track maintenance (level crossing works) in Peterborough, SA to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.
This work is scheduled to occur from
- 6:00AM, Wednesday 11 June 2025 until 4:30PM, Thursday 12 June 2025, weather permitting. The movement of materials between the Cemetery Road Level Crossing and the Silver Street Level Crossing will occur during the works period.
- This will be day work only, with work ceasing at approximately 4:30PM on Wednesday Afternoon and recommencing at approximately 6:00AM Thursday morning. We anticipate completion of the work on Thursday by 4:30PM approximately.
- The Silver Street Level Crossing will be closed for the duration of the works until surface upgrade is completed. You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
How this affects you?
We are committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our works wherever possible, including:
- Watering down work areas
- Positioning light towers to shine away from residences
- Limiting the number of machines operating at any one time.
Traffic controllers and signage will safely guide road users and pedestrians around the worksite.
