ARTC North Coast Line Reopens Between Taree and Acacia Ridge

As of 6:00 AM this morning, the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) reopened the North Coast Line between Taree and Acacia Ridge.

Some delays to services will be experienced due to re-certification of level crossings which is now underway.  This is a standard ARTC procedure that occurs when track closures are in place for more than 72 hours and resources have been mobilised to expediate this process.

Once completed, track operations will return to scheduled transit times.

ARTC would like to thank our staff, particularly our maintenance team, and contractors who worked tirelessly to restore the line to service, in the aftermath of ex tropical cyclone Alfred.

Additionally, we thank customers and operators for their patience and understanding throughout this weather event.
