In a recent survey, we found that less than 20 per cent of people living around the corridor understood ARTC’s role. Given the importance of rail to the Australian economy, we’ve launched an awareness campaign to bring to life our role and the value ARTC, and the rail industry more broadly, delivers to the communities in which we operate.
Through the voices of local employees, including Signal Technicians, Work Group Leaders and Community Advisors, our people share in their own words what they value most about working in rail and for ARTC.
The campaign kicked off in Victoria and includes radio, outdoor, digital and print. The intention is to invest in further campaigns along the network featuring local employees, our customers, partners and contractors.
Jane Lavender-Baker, Group Executive Corporate Affairs and People sponsored the campaign and said, “It’s great to be able to profile our people and the work they do every day to keep Australia moving”.
“Each of our “stars” share what is most important to them in their role – be it safety, improving efficiency, helping to build important infrastructure that takes pressure off our busy roads, or the benefits they can see our projects bring to regional communities”.
“The campaign alone won’t shift community perceptions about rail, but together with greater community engagement and dialogue, we hope to build a stronger rail future – and that journey starts with awareness and builds to trust and advocacy.”
