Australian Rail Track Corporation 2014 Annual Report - page 13

connection between the Queensland, New
South Wales, Victorian and West Australian
economies —and dramatically reduce rail
freight costs and transit times along our
eastern states.
We are excited to be delivering
this programme.
Change is by no means an easy road and
by its nature is an evolving and long-
term process.
With our vision to make rail the mode
of choice in the national logistics
chain, we need to have a reputation for
outstanding service. This will help us
to grow the business by attracting new
customers, new business opportunities
and the best people and we are proud of
the way our employees are responding
to this demand in an ever-evolving and
competitive landscape.
As we continue on this path to reinventing
rail and capturing greater share of the
freight task, we are confident that our
future remains bright — and we thank
our customers and our dedicated staff for
their commitment in helping to achieve
the past year’s results as well as prepare
us for the opportunities of tomorrow.
We would also like to thank our
Shareholders, the Australian
Government, for their continued support
and together we also wish to thank
our fellow Board members and the
Executive Team for their leadership and
commitment to seeing us succeed.
