project near Donnybrook,
Victoria, funded as part of
the Economic Stimulus Plan,
involved laying 6.8kms of

Leighton Contracts
Alliance to Deliver SSFL
An Alliance contract worth
$150 million for Leighton
Contractors. The Alliance will
complete the construction
of a 36km dedicated freight
line between Macarthur and
Sefton in southern Sydney.
The Commonwealth made further
significant investment in rail
infrastructure with a purchase of a
further $409.3 million in shares in ARTC.

Organisation Restructure Takes Effect:
The company-wide restructure took effect on 1 July 2011 to
support the new business strategy aimed at delivering a major
increase in the volume of freight carried on the ARTC network
and transforming ARTC into a customer-focused, commercially
orientated organisation that will build on its vision to create a
strong, efficient, sustainable rail link in the national logistics chain.
