BUSINESS
The Hunter Valley Coal Chain is the largest coal
export operation in the world. We provide coal
mines in the Hunter Valley and Gunnedah Basin
with rail access to the Port of Newcastle. A number
of passenger services, grain and general freight
trains also access the network on a daily basis. On
average more than 300 trains per day access the
Hunter Valley network, with around half of those
trains being coal trains.
