The Wallan accident was an incredibly tragic event and one year on, our thoughts are first and foremost with those impacted by the accident.
We join our colleagues across the rail industry in remembering John Kennedy and Sam Meintanis and extend our condolences to their families, friends and colleagues. We also acknowledge the many others affected by the events of 20 February last year.
Our first and primary responsibility is to operate a safe railway and we continue to work with the various regulators to support the multiple investigations underway to ensure the appropriate lessons are learned, and actions put in place to avoid something similar happening again.
