The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is delighted to announce that we have been nominated for awards in five categories in the 2022 Australasian Railway Industry (ARI) Awards.

ARTC’s Inland Rail project, a 1,700-kilometre rail connection between Brisbane and Melbourne that will deliver a 24-hour transit between the cities, has been nominated for awards in the Sustainability & Environmental Excellence and Safety Excellence categories.

ARTC’s KM2ME mobile app which provides rail workers with their exact location on our 8,500km national network has been shortlisted in both the Rail Innovation of the Year and Freight Rail & Heavy Haul Excellence categories.

Our 532km North East Rail Line project in regional Victoria is a finalist in the Infrastructure Project Excellence category, the project was recently completed with our construction partner John Holland to provide a smoother and more reliable ride for passengers travelling between Albury-Wodonga and Melbourne.

The NERL project renewal saw the delivery of 85 level crossing renewals, 13 pedestrian crossing renewals and 142 rail bridge upgrades including 94 bridge deck replacements and six bridge re-transoms.

The ARI award winners will be announced at the ARI Awards Gala Dinner at Crown Towers in Melbourne on September 14th.
