Beni Creek Bridge Replacement – Beni, NSW – February to May 2026

We’re preparing to reopen the Beni Creek rail bridge, near Dubbo, after it was destroyed by fire late last year.  

The project is now on track to reopen ahead of schedule, with the new bridge expected to be ready for testing from Monday 11 May 2026. A return to normal operations will follow subject to successful commissioning.   

Look out for trains! 

Communities and landowners near the rail corridor, including those with private level crossings, are reminded that the line will become active again from Monday 11 May, with test trains and track machines running along our lines between Dubbo, Ulan and Premer, as we prepare for normal rail services to return. 

Please stay alert, obey all level crossing controls and never enter the rail corridor.
