Hunter Valley Closedown – February 2022

The Hunter Valley network will undergo major maintenance works as part of a scheduled shutdown of the network. Works will commence 6:30am Tuesday 8 February to 6:30am Friday 11 February 2022. Works across the network will include track reconditioning and resurfacing, rail replacement, road and pedestrian level crossing improvements, rail bridge repairs and testing, ballast cleaning, vegetation control, rail corridor tidy-up work and signal maintenance. Some noise, dust and road impacts will be associated with the works.

We apologise for any disruption or inconvenience caused and thank the community for its support and patience while these essential works are taking place. The maintenance and improvement work in these scheduled shutdowns are critical to the on-going safety and reliability of the rail network.
