Level crossing closure, Garden Gully Road, Great Western, VIC – 18 to 20 April 2026

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) will be carrying out track maintenance at the Garden Gully Road Level Crossing, Great Western, to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.

This work is scheduled from 6:00am Saturday 18 April to 9:00pm Monday 20 April, weather permitting.

For safety reasons, the crossing will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians for the full duration of the work, including nights.

A detour will be in place via Western Highway and Paxton Street.

Traffic controllers and signage will safely guide road users and pedestrians around the worksite.

You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
