Level Crossing Closure – Western Highway, Ararat, Victoria – 22 November to 23 November, 2025

We will be carrying out essential track maintenance on the Western Highway level crossing, Ararat, Victoria, to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.

This work is scheduled from 10:00pm Saturday 22 November to 6:00pm Sunday 23 November, weather permitting.

For safety reasons, the crossing will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians for the full duration of the work.

We will begin minor preparation work and material deliveries in the lead up to the work. Site clean-up may continue for several weeks after the work is completed. 

A detour will be in place throughout the closure and signage will redirect road users.

We will do our best to reduce any disruptions to the community during work and appreciate your patience.
