Sydney – Albury railway maintenance works

We will be carrying out various track maintenance and improvement works on the from 10pm Friday, 18 August – 6pm Monday, 21 August.
In order to complete these works safely and efficiently the works will take place during a track closedown which will see both day and night works involved, with machinery and equipment in use at various locations during this period. Some work may be continuous over the shutdown.
Some noisy works may take place overnight, and there will be associated truck and maintenance-related work vehicles accessing sections of the rail corridor as well as the movement of equipment and materials.
We will work to minimise disruption the works may cause and appreciates your patience and understanding during this period.
We apologise for any inconvenience the work causes. The upgrades are important to keep the railway safe and reliable for freight and passenger trains.
Road closures
- Cootamundra – Back Brawlin Road – closed 6am Saturday, 19 August to 3pm Monday, 21 August
- Goondah – Goondah Road – closed 6am Saturday, 19 August – 6pm Sunday, 20 August
