NSW Major Track Possession

2019-08-30 - 2019-09-02

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is advising that we will be carrying out various track maintenance and improvement works in the Moss Vale to Albury and Cootamundra to Parkes sections of the Interstate Network. These works are scheduled over the period Friday 30th August through to Monday 2nd September 2019.

Some pre-possession works will take place in the two weeks leading up to the possession from Monday 26th August to Friday 30th August. During this time, you may see an increase in railway contractor presence in your area in the form of people, vehicles, equipment and materials. The majority of works during this period are proposed to be completed within standard hours but some locations will require night works.

The possession activities will take place from 10:00pm Friday 30th August continuously until 6:00pm on Monday 2nd September 2019. During this time there will be a significant increase in the construction related activity and number of contractors in the area during the day and at night time, and some traffic management/restrictions in place for critical locations.

Some post possession works will also be undertaken from Tuesday 3rd September until Friday 6th September as sites are tidied and plant, equipment and materials are taken away. Activity during this period is to be completed within standard work hours.

ARTC and their chosen contractors will be endeavouring to minimise noise and any other related issues and disruptions the works may cause to local residents and appreciates your patience and understanding during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience the work causes. The upgrades are important to keep the railway safe and reliable for freight and passenger trains.

If you have any environmental queries you can contact the ARTC Enviroline on 1300 550 402 or email enviroline@artc.com.au.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding while these works are being undertaken.
