Rail Maintenance Works – Flemington to Enfield West & Port Botany

We will be carrying out essential track maintenance and improvement works in January at various locations from Flemington to Enfield West and Port Botany on the Sydney Metropolitan Freight Line. Works will commence from 6:00am Saturday 20 January 2024 and continue through until 6:00pm Tuesday 23 January 2024. While most work will be completed between 6:00am and 6:00pm daily, there will be nightworks in some locations.

There may be some traffic impacts, it will be noisy at times, light towers will be used for any night works, and some dust may be generated. Please be assured that we will implement measures to manage and minimise these impacts on the community where possible.

We will begin mobilising to site and carrying out minor preparation work in the days prior to the shutdown work commencing and there will be post work site clean-up in the days following.  All preparation and clean-up work will be completed during standard working hours.

We will be working hard to minimise any disruptions to the community, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work is completed.
