Southern Highlands Overtaking Opportunities, Joppa Junction, NSW, March 2025

We will be undertaking essential rail maintenance at Joppa Junction, NSW. This will involve the construction of new crossovers, which will increase flexibility, reduce delays and reduce congestion on the network, along the Main South corridor.
Works will be conducted between 10:00pm Friday 21 March 2025 and 6:00pm Monday 24 March 2025. We plan to work both day and night during this period, to reduce the overall length of disruption to the community and the rail network.
How this affects you?
This work may be noisy and disruptive however, every effort will be made to keep noisy works to a minimum and reduce impacts to the community wherever possible. Some of the measures we may use include turning off equipment when not in use, setting up noise blankets around work sites and using non-tonal (‘white noise’) reversing alarms on vehicles.
