Essential Rail Maintenance Work, Broken Hill Rail Yards, NSW, March/April 2025.

We will be carrying out essential track maintenance and improvement works this March and April, in the Broken Hill Rail Yard, NSW.
Works will commence 7:00am, Saturday 1st March 2025 and continue until 6:00pm Friday 18th April 2025.
Most of the works will occur during standard working hours. These hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 1:00pm, Saturdays (excluding Public Holidays). There will be a need for water carts to monitor the site overnight and nights works will be undertaken between the times of 6:00pm to 7am.
How this could affect you?
The works are all within the Broken Hill Rail Yard so impacts will be minimal. It will be noisy at times, and some dust may be generated. Please be assured that we will implement measures to manage and minimise these impacts on the community where possible.
We will turn off machinery when not in use, arrange work in stages and/or phase the equipment used at one time to reduce noise impacts where possible.
