Level Crossing Closure, Crystal Brook, SA – 14 May to 6 July 2026

We are upgrading the Montrose Lane Level Crossing in Crystal Brook to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.

This upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Regional Level Crossing Safety Program (through the Regional Level Crossing Upgrade Fund) and ARTC.

This work is scheduled from 6:00am to 6:00pm daily, from Thursday 14 May to Monday 6 July, weather permitting.

For safety reasons, this crossing will be closed to all road users from 7:00am Friday 22 May to 7:00pm Monday 6 July.

Detours will be in place via Goyder Highway and Gadd Avenue / Venning Road, with signage onsite to safely guide road users around the worksite.

Please take these delays into consideration when planning trips.

You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
