Level Crossing Upgrade, Caltowie, SA – 9 July to 28 August 2026

We are upgrading the Caltowie-Georgetown Road Level Crossing in Caltowie to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.
This upgrade is jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Regional Level Crossing Safety Program (through the Regional Level Crossing Upgrade Fund) and ARTC.
This work is scheduled from 7:00am to 3:00pm daily, from Thursday 7 July to Tuesday 28 August, weather permitting.
We will be working intermittently between these dates with no anticipated road closures.
You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
