Track maintenance: Bargo, NSW – 1 to 4 May 2026

We will be carrying out track maintenance in your area to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.

This work is scheduled from 10:00pm, Friday 1 May to 1:00pm, Monday 4 May 2026, weather permitting. We will be working continuously during this time.

You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation work and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.

This is a significant project which will include rail cutting, excavating and ballasting. In addition to the works area, we will be delivering and storing ballast (the stones that sit under the rail) at either end of our work zone.

While we’re committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our works wherever possible, these works will be noisy at times. Some ways we work to minimise disruption include:

• Watering down work areas
• Positioning light towers to shine away from residences
• Limiting the number of machines operating at any one time
