Track Maintenance, Ararat to Nhill, Victoria, April/May 2025

We will be carrying out track maintenance between Ararat and Nhill, Victoria, to maintain a safe and reliable rail network.
This work is scheduled to occur between
- 7:00AM to 5:00PM, Mondays to Fridays from the 28th of April 2025 until the 16th of May 2025, weather permitting. We will be working during the day only.
You may have noticed we have already begun minor preparation works and material deliveries. Site clean-up will continue during standard construction hours after the work is complete.
How this affects you?
We are committed to reducing the impacts of noise, dust and light from our works wherever possible, including:
– Watering down work areas
– Positioning light towers to shine away from residences
– Limiting the number of machines operating at any one time.
Traffic controllers and signage will safely guide road users and pedestrians around the worksite.
