The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) wishes to advise that on 17 May 2011 Ministerial approval to construct a new crossing loop at Ambleside was granted.
The Project Enquiry Line: 1800 118 638 established during the planning study will continue to be the key contact method for the local community during construction.
Work is scheduled to commence on site in August 2011 and run until October 2012.
Adjacent landholders should expect to be contacted in the near future to arrange for Property Condition reports to be undertaken. In addition, landholders that may experience increased noise levels as a result of the crossing loop will be contacted in the near future and advised of ARTC’s process for implementing noise mitigation treatments at affected properties.
ARTC will continue to work with the local community to address any concerns about the construction activities.
