Steve Jones is the Acting Group Executive Safety & Environment at ARTC, with responsibility for leading the company’s uncompromising commitment to keeping people safe across our network, in addition to environmental management to minimise our operational impacts. He is also Inland Rail Director Safety, Environment & Engagement.
Steve is a chartered health, safety and environment professional who has over 25 years’ rail infrastructure experience in the public and private sector, both within Australia and overseas.
Prior to joining ARTC and Inland Rail, Steve held executive positions with Transport for NSW and was responsible for all operational readiness activities to deliver Australia’s first driverless railway on the NSW Government’s priority infrastructure Sydney Metro project.
